Dangerous Goods Management
The ABS2020 system has been enhanced so that it can send FDD version 1 (Shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods) messages, based on that described in IATA’s Cargo Interchange Message Procedures Manual (26th Edition 2006).
The NOTOC (Notification to Captain) functionality has been enhanced to capture all the ‘extra’ data required to allow FDD messages to be sent. This data is input via the Create/Amend Export Consignment screen, or if the user uses the DGM system, then the data can be drawn from the DGM system.
FDD messages are sent for an Export consignment, when the consignment is included in a NOTOC report, unless the FDD has already been sent for this consignment. FDD messages can also be sent / re-sent from the Create/Amend Export Consignment screen.
The NOTOC report has been enhanced to adhere to recent changes to its format used in the airline industry.
