Service Level Agreement Management (SLAM)
The latest module from the ABS stable was launched in 2006 at the World Air Cargo event in Dubai. The ABS cargo handling system has been used world wide for over 12 years and this latest development re-enforces the leading position of this widely used system. As both airlines and agents demand more aggressive service levels with handling agents and link them to payments or fines, then real time monitoring of SLA’s becomes a ‘must have’ for those cargo handling agents with multiple contracts. ABS has spent the last 12 months developing SLAM: a highly flexible but very cost-effective solution that not only acts as a management tool but can also be the perfect marketing USP for those GHA’s that use it.
The SLAM system allows the GHA to set up their own SLA’s with warning, critical and failure targets using traffic light colours to emphasise how close the event is to breaking the SLA. Linked to email and SMS messages, management can be forewarned of approaching problems and take corrective action beforehand. This module is also available to those Companies operating their own systems in Unix / Linux environments.
